Verity begins quietly. You explore a blocky world with a companion named Verity, answer his questions, and slowly notice that something feels off. The game gets stranger as you move further into the story.
Walk through the different areas and interact with Verity. Pay attention to the conversations and pick your answers carefully.

Don't treat every conversation as filler. I found that slowing down and actually reading what Verity says makes the story much easier to follow.
There is little traditional combat here. The harder part is figuring out what the game is trying to tell you. The Mine and Maze sections can also be confusing when you are trying to work out where to go next.
The beginning feels almost too normal, which caught me off guard. After spending some time with Verity, small changes in the world start to feel suspicious. I liked that the game creates tension through conversation instead of constantly throwing jump scares at you.
If you enjoy short horror games where the story matters more than fighting, Verity is worth trying. The different areas, dialogue choices, and alternate outcomes give you a reason to replay it.
