What is Fellow Traveler?

Fellow Traveler is an immersive dark urban fantasy interactive fiction series set in an alternative present version of North America. This narrative-driven game explores a supernatural world where the boundaries between human and otherworldly creatures blur. As a cambion—a half-human, half-demon hybrid—you’ve lived a seemingly normal life until a Nephilim (half-human, half-angel) arrives with news of a prophecy that thrusts you into a hidden world of magic, mystery, and danger. The game unfolds across multiple seasons, with Season 1 currently in development. It combines rich storytelling with interactive elements, allowing players to shape their journey through a complex web of supernatural politics, personal choices, and destiny.

How to Play

 - Start Your Journey: Begin by immersing yourself in the dark urban fantasy world of Fellow Traveler. As a cambion, you start with a seemingly ordinary life that is upended when you learn about your true heritage and the prophecy you are tied to.

 - Customize Your Character: One of the game’s core features is the ability to customize your main character (MC). You can choose your character’s name, gender, pronouns, sexuality, personality traits, and prior career choice. This customization allows for a deeply personal experience as you navigate the story.

 - Interact with a Range of Characters: Throughout the game, you will encounter various beings, including demons, angels, vampires, werewolves, and other hybrids. Each character has their motives and relationships with you, which can affect the story’s progression. Key characters include:

• Sameer Misra: A Nephilim who challenges the status quo and seeks to dismantle the hierarchies of heaven and hell.
• Blair Dyer: A pragmatic hunter who supports Sameer’s goals but with a more grounded perspective.
• Nora Chambers: A demon dedicated to the prophecy and committed to guiding you through your journey.

 - Go on Hunts: Engage in various hunts, which may involve more than just combat. These missions are designed to explore the supernatural world, gather information, and confront challenges. Your approach to these hunts can influence the outcomes and your relationships with other characters.

 - Develop Skills and Powers: As you progress, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your supernatural abilities. You can choose to focus on enhancing your demonic powers or stick to traditional skills—or even balance both to suit your play style.

 - Build Relationships: The game features opportunities for developing friendships, rivalries, and romances. Your interactions with characters like Sameer, Blair, and Nora will impact your journey and the overall story. Each relationship can open new paths and storylines.

 - Make Choices: Your decisions throughout the game will shape the narrative and determine how the prophecy unfolds. Will you embrace your role as foretold, or will you fight against your destiny? Your choices will influence the story’s direction and its ultimate resolution.
